Below is an example of one of the many letters Henry wrote home to his family1. In this letter Henry discusses a trip that he takes. At the end of the letter he mentions a surprise, that there is someone with them filming for a movie. So far he hasn’t been in any scenes but the group he is with has offered to stage scenes.
The Wesleyan Collection houses hundreds of Henry’s letters. Most of them, including this one, are simple correspondences between Henry and his family. As letters were the only method of communication for the Fenn family when individuals were traveling most of these correspondences were mundane. But, occasionally letters, like this one, contain suprises.
