In Henry’s collection of letters are many letters sent from himself to Connie in 1949. Henry and Court were traveling from Peking to the United States at the time while Connie and the twins were in the US1. During the time in which they were apart, Henry and Connie wrote many letters to each other.
Below are two letters that Henry wrote to Connie in January of 1949. The first letter is from on board the ship form China to the US. In it Henry mentions that he has found women on the ship to do his laundry for him. He also mentions that Court and a girl Mary Frances have been spending time together. The second letter is from San Francisco in which Henry tells Connie about his many lunch and dinner plans.
